Jason Hasko, MA-RDT, PAT, LCAT
Psychotherapist, Psychodramatist
Jason Hasko brings to Nest an extensive and eclectic background in creative arts therapies and other healing modalities. He began his career in theater, where discovering psychodrama had a profoundly transformational effect—an experience that redirected his path and led him to become a licensed Creative Arts Therapist and certified Psychodramatist specializing in trauma and addiction. For the past seven years, he has also trained faculty and students at the Trial Lawyers College, using action methods to help attorneys connect more authentically with their clients and deepen their courtroom presence.
With a Master’s degree in Drama Therapy, Jason has spent over two decades refining his clinical expertise in group psychotherapy and psychodrama. He has worked across a wide range of settings—including adult psychiatric units, pediatric inpatient care, oncology and general hospitals, schools, and corporate wellness programs—all of which have informed his holistic, experiential approach to both group and individual therapy. Drawing from somatic and integrative modalities, including EMDR, his work centers on trauma recovery, addiction treatment, family systems, and LGBTQ+ identity. He is known for his deep attunement to the underlying emotional distress of his clients and for his compassionate, steady commitment to holding space for “what is” without judgment.
Before joining Nest Behavioral Health, Jason was an addiction therapist and group facilitator at a leading outpatient substance use program in NYC. He also served as Senior Director of Programming at Educational Alliance, where he oversaw services for adolescents and families in shelter and supportive housing and led parent groups focused on strength-based interventions and social-emotional learning.
Jason’s clinical areas of focus include trauma, relationships, health challenges, family dynamics, LGBTQ+ identity, and addiction recovery. A current area of professional growth is his work providing clinical trainings in group psychotherapy, sociometry, and psychodrama.
