Stephanie D’Angelo, MA, CMT-P
Embodied Mindfulness Consultant
Stephanie D’Angelo is the developer and facilitator of the Polyvagal Informed Embodied Mindfulness™ protocol offered at Nest in both our Patient Track and our Healing Professionals Track. She also brings her gentle spirit, clarity, and embodied wisdom to Nest's clinicians, consulting on Nest's polyvagal-informed approach to trauma treatment. As a clinically informed Certified Trauma Support Specialist with training in Trauma Sensitive Mindfulness, somatic regulation strategies, embodiment, and Polyvagal Theory, Stephanie’s goal is to empower all people with the skills to support self-regulation so they may experience a greater sense of internal stability no matter what storm they may be facing. Stephanie is certified to teach Mindfulness by UC Berkeley’s Awareness Training Institutes, has a BA in Psychology, and holds a Master’s degree in Mindfulness Studies.
Stephanie’s early career at the Somerset County Board of Social Services centered on supporting individuals facing socioeconomic disadvantage and mental or physical health challenges. This work sparked her passion for integrating a polyvagal and trauma-informed lens into traditional mindfulness practices, especially for those with histories of adversity. Today, Stephanie brings this lens to both Nest and to the Polyvagal Institute, where she serves as the Director of Organizational Training & Facilitation. In all of her roles, Stephanie is known for her steadfast dedication to equipping participants with the tools and training needed to alleviate suffering and foster human flourishing.
